Ed Piskor was an American comic artist, born on July 28, 1982, in Homestead, Pennsylvania. He was widely recognized for his distinctive style and innovative approach to storytelling within the comic book medium. Piskor was known for his meticulous attention to detail and his ability to weave complex narratives through his artwork.

Growing up in Pittsburgh, Piskor developed a passion for comics at a young age. He was inspired by the work of legendary artists such as Jack Kirby, Will Eisner, and Robert Crumb. Piskor began creating his own comics as a teenager, honing his skills and experimenting with different artistic techniques.

In 2005, Piskor gained widespread attention with the publication of his self-published comic series, "Wizzywig." The series, which explored the world of hacking and computer culture, showcased Piskor's talent for blending historical research with engaging storytelling. "Wizzywig" garnered critical acclaim and helped establish Piskor as a rising star in the world of independent comics.

Piskor continued to push the boundaries of the medium with his next project, "Hip Hop Family Tree." Launched in 2013, "Hip Hop Family Tree" chronicled the history of hip-hop music and culture, tracing its roots from the streets of New York City to its global impact. Piskor's meticulous research and vibrant artwork captured the essence of the hip-hop movement, earning him praise from both fans and critics alike.
